Everything is within easy walking distance, and subway stops appear every few blocks on Yonge Street and on University Avenue if you prefer to take transit.

The Drake was one of Toronto’s original boutique hotels long before the musician Drake became a household name. (No relation between the two). Located in the heart of Queen West, The Drake Hotel is also part contemporary art-gallery, part live music venue, and part-restaurant, all in one.
If you are looking for a neighbourhood hotel experience with lots of character, this is one of the best choices in the city.

1 Hotel Toronto

1 Hotel blends luxury with sustainability in a way that feels calm and sophisticated. Natural wood, reclaimed materials and greenery throughout the hotel create a peaceful atmosphere despite being in the middle of bustling King West.
The rooftop pool and bar are especially popular during the summer months. Guests can borrow bikes to explore the city and Casa Madera, the hotel’s upscale restaurant, is a popular dining destination in Toronto.

Yorkville is Toronto’s luxury shopping and dining district. Located along Bloor Street between Avenue Road and Yonge Street, this neighbourhood has a more upscale and residential feel compared to downtown and is adjacent to the residential Annex area and the University of Toronto.
Luxury boutiques, designer stores from Gucci to Canadian retailer Holt Renfew, cafés and high-end restaurants line the streets, as well as the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and Bata Shoe Museum.

If you don’t want to spend a fortune but still are looking for something nice in the area, the Kimpton Saint George is an excellent choice. It has a boutique feel, on a quiet stretch of Bloor St, while still being close to Yorkville, museums, and is right on the subway line.
They have one-bedroom suites too which is especially convenient for families.

Located directly across from the Royal Ontario Museum, the Yorkville Royal Sonesta makes a great base for exploring the city. Rooms are modern and spacious, with the added bonus of a rooftop indoor pool.
A special feature in the winter, are the hotel’s cozy outdoor dining domes that are very popular among guests.
Luxury 5-Star Hotels:
Park Hyatt Toronto

The Park Hyatt Toronto is a full-service hotel that has the absolute best rooftop bar and outdoor patio in the city. Located on the 17th floor, the Writers Room Bar is one of my favourite spots for drinks with spectacular views of Toronto.
Located at the corner of Avenue & Bloor, you can’t find a hotel with a better location, close to everything, and rooms with stunning views of the city.
Four Seasons Hotel Toronto

The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is widely considered one of Toronto’s most luxurious hotels and it fully lives up to the brand. Everything from the interior design to the dining experiences feels thoughtful and refined.
